Series of initiatives and momentum since the Bonn SBs sessions in 2019 have been building towards COP25; ranging from negotiation group preparatory meetings to the high-level UN Secretary-General (UNSG) Submit.  The UNSG submit in particularly prompted countries to promote the integration of climate change in national development and the acceleration of technical examination of measures and policies for mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
